A large and enthusiastic group of members, friends and families attended a tour of the new Wembley stadium. The group was large enough to have its own guides.  Everyone was really impressed and a good time was had by all.  Thanks to David Roberts for organising it.

We met up at the refurbished Wembley Park tube station

And headed up Olympic Way to the stadium

It's an architectural masterpiece; the arch is high enough to roll the London Eye under   With top quality finishes even in the bits most of us don't normally get to see

The dressing rooms are marginally better then we are used to   And Graham immediately felt at home

There's a vast media conference centre

Where the secretary, chairman and president faced the press

The view is unobstructed unlike at the old ground   Looking towards the commentary box

The players' entrance with the royal box in the background    And where the like of us might enter the ground

Bobby Moore looks out...      along Olympic Way

After more than our allotted 90 mins (the guide allowed us injury time as we had not shown him any cards)...    We head off into the sunset.  Amazing what a spot of photo manipulation can do!
