This Month's Competition

Rules

Congratulations....
To Andy Taylor who answered the question correctly and whose name was first to be drawn out of the hat at the March meeting.
The Question

In 1965 the Football League introduced the use of substitutes for the first time.  Who was the the first ever substitute to be used?
The Prize
For March the prize is a pair of books from a pair of the game's most notable officials.  First, David Elleray's The Man in the Middle, his second autobiographical tome.  It's a 320 page insight into life in the top flight.
Second The Rules of the Game by Italian legend Pierluigi Collina.  You will be pleased to know it is the English-language version, translated from the original Italian.

The answer:  Charlton Athletic's Keith Peacock

Entry to the competition is FREE.  It is open to all paid up members of Harrow Referees' Society.

E-mail your answers to
hrscomp@fsmail.net by midnight on the Sunday before the meeting.  To qualify for the prize you must be at the meeting to collect it in person.

The winner will be selected at the next Society meeting through a draw of all the correctly submitted entries.   No correspondence will be entered into and the management committee's decision is final.
